The 14th Annual Graduate Student Research Conference in Hospitality and Tourism will be held in
Las Vegas, Nevada, January 4 through 6, 2009. Hosted by the William F.
Harrah College of Hotel Administration at the University of Nevada Las
Vegas, the conference is expected to have as many as 350 participants.
The location is the South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa located at the
south end of The Strip.
The conference provides an opportunity for graduate students, graduate
program administrators and graduate faculty to meet to exchange
information and ideas on research and to explore contemporary and
near-term issues and opportunities in research and graduate
education.
In addition to the research, there are many other reasons to attend
the conference. Friendships have been forged at this conference in the
past that have carried many students into their faculty years.
Teaching positions have been secured. Research partnerships have
developed. Students have met and exchanged ideas with many of the
leading hospitality and tourism researchers in the world.
